Trust Your Care To An extraction Specialist

Extractions
You and Dr. Viehweg may determine that you need a tooth extraction for any number of reasons. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed; others may have advanced periodontal disease, or have broken in a way that cannot be repaired. Other teeth may need removal because they are poorly positioned in the mouth (such as impacted teeth), or in preparation for orthodontic treatment.

The removal of a single tooth can lead to problems related to your chewing ability, problems with your jaw joint, and shifting teeth, which can have a major impact on your dental health.

To avoid these complications, in most cases, Dr. Viehweg will discuss alternatives to extractions as well as replacement of the extracted tooth.

THE EXTRACTION PROCESS
At the time of extraction, the doctor will need to numb your tooth, jaw bone and gums that surround the area with a local anesthetic.

During the extraction process you will feel a lot of pressure. This is from the process of firmly rocking the tooth in order to widen the socket for removal.

Dr. Viehweg ensures that you feel the pressure without pain as the anesthetic has numbed the nerves stopping the transference of pain, yet the nerves that transmit pressure are not profoundly affected.

We work hard to ensure that your extraction is a seamless, painless, and speedy process. Also, we will guide you through the healing process.

Call to schedule your extraction consultation and let us take care of the rest!
"Member Of The Family For Life."
"Every time I go to Alpine Surgical Arts it is alway for an emergency extraction. The office staff is one of the best to get the earliest appointment or squeeze you into his busy schedule. The receptionist is always so friendly, you feel like your best friend by the time they take you back. The nursing staff is the vey best at keeping you calm. I am one who hates having my teeth worked on at all, they are always letting you know what will happen next. They really help make the experience as great as possible.

I have the up most respect for Dr. Tate L. Viehweg. I am a kidney , pancreas, transplant recipient. I am taking drugs that effect my immune system. Dr. Viehweg has extensive knowledge and his ability to communicate the problems and risk involved in my situation is remarkable. He has a genuine concern for me as a patient. I know I can expect a phone call from him on the night of the surgery. I will say when going to Alpine Surgical Arts you are not only a patient but a member of the family for life. I would highly recommend both Dr. and Staff."
